PARK CITY ARENA GETS A NEW NAME

The Park City Arena has a new name: the Heartland Credit Union Arena.

The arena announced the naming rights sponsorship deal on Monday. It said nothing is changing aside from the name.

It’s the second name change for the arena built by businessman Wink Hartman and opened in 2009, under the name Hartman Arena. Hartman later sold the arena, and it was renamed Park City Arena in 2024.

“Heartland isn’t just a name or a place on a map — it’s a promise to show up for our members in bold ways,” Dan Springer, president and CEO of Heartland Credit Union, said in a news release. “This partnership reflects our shared values of community and connection. As we grow, we’re reinvesting in ways that create meaningful experiences for our members and strengthen the communities we serve.”

The credit union said there will be special benefits for credit union members, including ticket giveaways, special events and behind-the-scenes experiences at the arena.

“Serving as a premiere event center for our community has been our goal since the beginning,” Ben Bolander, executive director of the arena, said in the release. “That’s why we are excited to partner with a local business that understands the value of community and what it means to provide quality service.”

Arena officials said their mission is still to provide a first-rate experience.

“As the ownership group of this facility, we’re proud to partner with Heartland to continue bringing first-class entertainment, sports and community events to south-central Kansas,” said Derrick Nielsen, CEO of LANGE. “This naming-rights partnership strengthens the arena’s future and supports the continued growth of the region we call home.”
