SWAGELOK TAKES THE STAGE AT SOLON COMMUNITY PARK WITH NEW SPONSORSHIP

SOLON, Ohio — Concerts, festivals and community celebrations at Solon Community Park will soon have a new corporate partner behind them.

Swagelok Co., the global fluid systems manufacturer that has been headquartered in the city for more than half a century, has signed on as the naming and presenting sponsor for the park’s outdoor stage.

The agreement, which was secured by The Superlative Group, a Cleveland-based firm, ties one of Solon’s largest employers even closer to its hometown and provides the city with fresh resources to reinvest in programs, services and facilities.

The timing is significant. Crews are in the middle of a sweeping overhaul of Community Park, designed to turn the site into a true gathering place for residents. Construction includes a new maintenance building north of Sebastian’s Playground, as well as an entry pavilion with restrooms, tables and seating. Pickleball courts are getting fencing and lighting, and the stage itself is taking shape, with roof beams and footers already set. The finished stage design will include storage rooms and classrooms on either side.

“These renovations are a cornerstone of the city’s long-term vision for Community Park,” said Parks and Recreation Director Rich Parker.

“Our goal is to create safe, modern and inclusive spaces that bring Solon residents of all ages together.”

City leaders said Swagelok’s sponsorship goes well beyond naming rights. They framed it as an investment in the quality of life for residents.

Mayor Edward Kraus pointed to the company’s long history in Solon as evidence of its deep connection to the community.

“This partnership is a meaningful example of how public and private entities can work together for the benefit of the entire community,” Kraus said.

“Swagelok’s commitment to Solon is evident through this sponsorship, and their support will strengthen our ability to enhance programs, facilities and services for residents of all ages.”

For Swagelok, the move is another way of giving back to the city it has called home since 1964.

The company already supports educational, civic and philanthropic efforts across the region, and executives say sponsoring the stage is a natural extension of that work.

“Swagelok has been proud to call Solon home for more than 50 years, and we’re deeply committed to investing in the communities where our associates live and work,” said Hannah Delis, chief human resource officer at Swagelok.

“We’re excited about all the ways this multipurpose space will foster connectivity and collaboration within our community.”
